Dr. Jackson Lau Speaking at the Baptist Tabernacle
Jackson Lau was born in Canton, China, and moved to Los Angeles in 1956. He believed and received Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord in 1960 at the First Chinese Baptist Church of Los Angeles. He attended UCLA for undergraduate studies and subsequently graduated in 1973 from Fernando Valley. He married his wife Lily in 1973.
Convicted of God’s calling to the ministry, he then attended and graduated with a Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology (Biola University) in 1984. He was called by the First Chinese Baptist Church of Los Angeles in September 1984 and assigned to pastor a group of people sent out from the First Chinese Baptist Church of Walnut. From 1985 to 2014, Dr. Lau faithfully served as the senior pastor there until he retired.
